Basic Calculator

What this calculator does

Basic Calculator handles everyday arithmetic in the browser: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percent, decimal numbers, sign changes, and quick corrections with backspace. It is meant for normal day-to-day calculations such as bills, prices, quantities, measurements, and quick checks while working on a phone or computer.

The expression follows normal math order, so multiplication and division are handled before addition and subtraction. For example, 2 + 3 x 4 is calculated as 14, not 20.

How to use it

Type directly into the expression line or use the keypad. You can click inside the expression, move the cursor, insert numbers or operators in the middle, and correct only the part you need. Press equals or Enter to complete the calculation.

The small preview helps you check the result before submitting. Recent calculations are saved in your browser history panel so you can reopen results from the same device without retyping them.

Privacy and limits

Calculations run locally in your browser. The calculator does not need an account and does not intentionally send your expressions to a Utiloza server. History is stored in browser storage on your device and can be cleared from the history panel.

This tool is for general arithmetic. It is not a replacement for accounting, tax, medical, engineering, or financial software where exact rules, rounding methods, or legal requirements matter.

When it is useful

Use it for quick totals, checking discounts, splitting simple costs, comparing quantities, or confirming a number before copying it into another app. The editable expression line is helpful when one part of a calculation changes and you do not want to type the whole thing again.
